Message from the Founder:
I am 40 years old, have two young children, and have been the owner of This Girl’s Gone Travellin’s parent company, Off the Beaten Path, LLC for over 15 years. I love travelling, but my husband isn’t always interested in my chosen destination or available to accompany me when I plan a trip, and sometimes I just need time away from the hubby, kids and the house to pamper myself and remember who I am! I don’t like the idea of travelling alone nomatter how well I know a destination, but when I turned to my friends, as potential travel buddies, I quickly learned that most of them were either unavailable or didn’t have the resources to travel. That’s when "This Girl’s Gone Travellin" was transformed from a simple idea to an actual travel solution for women who enjoy active and adventure travel, but don’t want to travel alone. Afterall, let’s face it ladies, nomatter how much anyone talks up how much fun it is to travel alone, IT’s NOT! I personally enjoy and find it refreshing to meet new faces and make new friends while discovering new places! If you share this point of view, I invite you to keep reading and take some time to review our adventures and join us for a whole lot of fun and self-indulgence.

- Married with kids, and sometimes, I just need a break away from the routine of daily family life to renew my energy levels, but can't find a friend who can get away or who can afford to escape, so I end up staying home dreaming of how I could have spent a week or weekend away! That’s the category I fit into as the owner of this company
- Single, but I earn a lot more than most of my friends, so I have trouble finding a travel partner
- Single, but my friends don’t share my interest for travel
- Single, and feel that my choices are limited if I travel alone.
- Single, but haven’t yet found an organization that offers the type of travel and tours that interest me
- Just enjoy travelling solo, but not alone. Would like to join a small group tour, but most companies cater to couples, and I don’t want to be the third wheel so to speak.
Important Note: All women are welcome to our trips. And, in case you are wondering. NO, we are NOT a lesbian travel club, just like minded women with an interest in exciting and active travel.
